Daniel Craig In New Coyboy Style

September 1, 2010 |11:31 | James Bond | News  By : Team X

Daniel Craig In New Coyboy Style: The UK tabloid The Sun has snapped an image of Daniel Craig brandishing an England flag on the set of Jon Favreau’s Cowboys and Aliens. It’s all part of the newspaper’s drive to help England win the bid to host the World Cup in 2018. Craig is apparently the two millionth person to support the campaign.

There’s little here that reveals anything much about the film, but I must say that his rugged looks beneath his hat make Craig look like he was born to play a cowboy. Love how the newspaper have framed him next to a giant light just for further confirmation that he is actually on a film set. Craig is a huge Liverpool supporter, having been brought up on the Wirral in Merseyside. Cowboys and Aliens is released next July and the name of the country who will host the World Cup is due to be announced on December 2 this year.

James Bond could return to screens as MGM poised to make deal

August 13, 2010 |15:43 | News  By : Team X

Wrangling over the fate of the debt-ridden studio had thrown its plans to make new movies, including the next 007 film, into disarray. The 23rd Bond movie had been due for release in 2012, the 50th anniversary of Ian Fleming's spy character's first outing in Dr No. However, producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli said earlier this year that work had been halted indefinitely because of uncertainty about MGM's future.

Craig backed the producers' decision but it left plans for him to reprise the role in limbo. He received strong reviews for his first two Bond outings in Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace. MGM's problems also cast a shadow over plans to film "The Hobbit," to which the studio owns half the rights, and director Guillermo del Toro resigned after production delays.

Bond still boss

August 9, 2010 |17:35 | News  By : Team X

James Bond has been declared the ‘Ultimate Icon’ for British men in a new online poll. The big screen spy  most recently portrayed by Daniel Craig topped a poll of more than 7,000 British men with 64 per cent of the vote in the survey compiled by AskMen  UK.

Bond beat time traveller The Doctor from the TV series Doctor Who and computer game hero Super Mario into second and third place respectively.

“For a number of decades now, James Bond has continued to be the ultimate symbol in cool for men worldwide  and in 2010, things are no different,” Contactmusic quoted Andrew Lubega, editor of.

AskMen UK, as telling BANG Showbiz. He’s cool, confident, strong, sharply-dressed and not lacking in a gag or two. And if that wasn’t enough, in between killing off the bad guys, he always finds time to shack up with a variety of gorgeous women,” he added.

Next James Bond film in limbo

August 6, 2010 |17:16 | News  By : Team X

The obstacles littered in front of a new James Bond movie may be more devilish than anything one of the film franchises' many villains could have dreamed up. In addition to financing woes and increasingly crowded talent schedules, there's this niggling fact: The script isn't ready.

Last week a fresh speed-bump was laid on the road to the 23rd film in the Bond franchise when "Quantum of Solace" and "Casino Royale" star Daniel Craig formally committed to "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo." David Fincher's remake of the Swedish-language bestseller won't begin shooting until later this year, meaning that Craig wouldn't be free until later in 2011 at the earliest.

Even then, he'd need to navigate around promoting Jon Favreau's "Cowboys & Aliens," which he's currently shooting (and which could also spawn a sequel, on which the actor has an option).Craig's moves away from Bond, meanwhile, come as MGM sits in a state of financial limbo.

James Bond - Blood Stone outed?

July 16, 2010 |15:42 | James Bond | News  By : Team X

The Activision-published title will be called Blood Stone, according to details on a Eurythmics fan site - corroborating retailer listings from earlier in the year. According to GamePron, the game is in development for PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3 - although the earlier retail listing also had it down for Wii, too.

The game will reportedly feature a story by screenwriter Bruce Feirstein (GoldenEye, Tomorrow Never Dies, The World is Not Enough), and the likenesses of singer/songwriter and actress Joss Stone as a Bond girl, alongside Daniel Craig and Judi Dench. The report says the game will also feature 16-player multiplayer support. A very official-sounding quote from David Pokress, Head of Marketing for Licensed Properties, Activision Publishing is included:

GOODBYE, MR BOND

July 2, 2010 |16:16 | News  By : Team X

The new James Bond film, due for release by 2012, has been canned due to a cash crisis. Production crew were told in April the £132million blockbuster, starring Daniel Craig, had been postponed amid "financial problems" at debtridden movie studio Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, which co-funded the film.

But now it has confirmed the movie has been axed - and it could be years before the secret agent with a licence to kill is back on the big screen. A glum insider said: "Members of the production crew have been told the Bond film has been canned.

"There is a lot of bad feeling as a lot of time, money and hard work has already gone into this." American Beauty director Sam Mendes had been lined up to direct the 23rd flick in the franchise, which started with Dr No in 1962. But production company EON confirmed in a statement yesterday: "We do not know when development will resume and cannot comment further at this stage."
